VALENCIA AIRPORT:
Valencia Airport is located in Manises, a small town 5 km from Valencia City. It has international connections to main international hubs like Paris and Zurich. You may be able to find a cheap flight on low-cost carriers from many other European destinations.
From the airport to Valencia you can take the Subway line 3 or 5, it takes 20 minutes to the city center. See the "getting around" section for more information. A taxi to the city center will cost you around 20 Euros.

TRAIN:
There are good train connections from Barcelona and Madrid to Valencia. The train station "Joaquin Sorolla" where long-distance trains arrive is in the city center, within walking distance from the conference venue (10-15 minutes) and the hotel (5 minutes).

Moving around Valencia
Valencia is the 3rd largest city of Spain. Valencia is an easy walkable city, but it also has an efficient public transport system, including buses, and expanding underground and tram networks.

By subway and tram:
Getting around by metro is really easy: download the metro map or visit www.metrovalencia.com
If you are travelling on lines 3 or 5 of the metro, we suggest you stop off at La Alameda, an important example of the Valencian architecture designed by Santiago Calatrava. The station is located underneath the Exposicion bridge, which is another jewel in the crown of this Valencian architect and is not to be missed.
