The KM3NeT Laser Beacon is similar to the ANTARES Laser Beacon but more powerful (> 3 microJ) and, therefore, able to arrive at longer distances in the detector. They will be located at the bottom of several lines and will be used to perform the synchronization of the lines. This device will use a mother board that will be controlled directly from shore. As the ANTARES laser Beacon, it will be housed also inside a titanium cylinder which supports the pressure of the seabed.
