The Astroparticle and High Energy Physics Group at the Instituto de Fisica Corpuscular (a Severo Ochoa Excellence Center) of the University of Valencia and CSIC announces a student grant to perform a PhD Thesis in Theoretical Particle Physics, under the Spanish PhD programme Formación de Personal Investigador (FPI-Severo Ochoa). The call has been published by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), see link below. The candidate should have experience equivalent to a Master Degree at the beginning of the appointment. He/she should perform research towards a PhD Thesis in one of the group research lines,
Neutrino properties: laboratory and astrophysics
Neutrino masses, origin and implications
New physics at the Large Hadron Collider after the Higgs boson
Particle cosmology: neutrinos and dark matter
These four research lines are interconnected and cover theoretical, phenomenological and observational aspects of Astroparticle and High Energy Physics. El Instituto de Física Corpuscular (IFIC), Centro de excelencia Severo Ochoa del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad, ofrece hasta 15 Prácticas de introducción a la investigación dirigidas a estudiantes del Máster en Física Avanzada que deseen hacer su Trabajo Fin de Máster en el IFIC durante el curso 2015-2016.
El objetivo de estas ayudas es introducir a los estudiantes de máster en las actividades de investigación propias del IFIC, facilitando los contactos entre los estudiantes y los investigadores del IFIC en vista a la posible realización posterior de una tesis doctoral en el instituto.
