Log available at "ific.uv.es/~agusanlo/calibrations/intertical_3_4_Patch/" 35235 38016 13/08/2009 00:00 /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Because of a "bug" in the 0.992 alignment version, the anchor base position of lines 11 and 12 where given by navigation in place of triangulation (needed reference), it was introduced a fake offset for those lines. In order to fix it (Paco[laser]+Aart[residuals]) in a fast way for the incoming seatry production of 2011 it was computed by the automathic procedure the changes in the offsets from 0.992 to 0.994 version for the 10 laser runs used to compute the previous offsets Sep-Dec'08. The differences are: Lines PACO 0.992 PACO-0.992-0,8ns 0.994 PACO-0.994-0,5ns 0.994-0.992-0,3ns 1 -2,5 -3,3 0,0 -3,0 0,0 0,0 2 -2,1 -2,9 0,0 -2,6 0,0 0,0 3 0,8 -0,2 0,2 0,1 0,2 0,0 4 -1,2 -1,7 -0,3 -1,5 -0,2 -0,1 5 -3,1 -3,8 -0,1 -3,5 -0,1 0,0 6 0,4 -0,8 0,4 -0,5 0,4 0,1 7 0,3 -0,7 0,2 -0,4 0,2 0,0 8 8,0 7,5 -0,3 7,9 -0,4 0,1 9 0,8 -0,3 0,3 0,0 0,3 0,0 10 -0,3 -1,2 0,1 -0,7 -0,1 0,2 11 5,9 4,9 0,2 3,5 1,9 -1,7 12 3,6 2,7 0,1 0,7 2,4 -2,3 The last column at rigth are the corrections that should be applied (just substract the above numbers to the T0s values) to the tables: #3 30/May/2008 54497694 #4 13/Aug/2009 55212410 in oder to patch them from 0.992 to 0.994. So is the same effect than correct the following offsets: Line 1 0,0 Line 2 0,0 Line 3 0,0 Line 4 -0,1 Line 5 0,0 Line 6 +0,1 Line 7 0,0 Line 8 +0,1 Line 9 0,0 Line 10 +0,2 Line 11 -1,7 Line 12 -2,3 #3 30/May/2008 54497694 -> new T0 ID 60419546 (Wrong) #4 13/Aug/2009 55212410 -> new T0 ID 60419547 (Wrong) As an example: we can find the T0 of ars 0, floor 1 and line 12 as 215.184 ns (ARS_T0_ID 16722429) without any line offset included. In the version Paco+Aart offsets it was applied an offset of (+3.01) ns (so we find the T0 of the unpatched version as: 215.184 ns - (+3.01) ns = 212.174 ns) while I measured an offset of +3.0 ns with 0.992 and +0.7 ns with 0.994, that means -2.3 ns (0.994 - 0.992) of difference. So, using Paco-Aart corrections, the correct T0 should be 215.184 ns - (+3.01 ns - 2.3 ns) = 215.184 ns - (+0.71 ns) = 214.474 ns (close to the offset I measured with 0.994 of +0.7 ns). But what we found in place in the wrongly patched version is 215.184 ns - (+3.01 ns + 2.3 ns) = 215.184 ns - (+5.31 ns) = 209.874 ns. #3 30/May/2008 54497694 -> new T0 ID ? #4 13/Aug/2009 55212410 -> new T0 ID ? /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// evalu155:agusanlo/macros/tical> ./offsetsadder -p intertical_3_4_Patch -i 54497694 -r 38016 -A 0.0 -B 0.0 -C 0.0 -D -0.1 -E 0.0 -F +0.1 -G 0.0 -H +0.1 -I 0.0 -J +0.2 -K -1.7 -L -2.3 ******************************************* * * * W E L C O M E to R O O T * * * * Version 5.26/00 14 December 2009 * * * * You are welcome to visit our Web site * * http://root.cern.ch * * * ******************************************* ROOT 5.26/00 (trunk@31882, Dec 14 2009, 20:18:36 on linux) CINT/ROOT C/C++ Interpreter version 5.17.00, Dec 21, 2008 Type ? for help.
