Noise vs Temperature on VAL K3-165. Non-irradiated Module.
Setup
- KaptonIII Forward Hybrid (K3-165) populated with 12 ABCD3T.
- SEQUENCER - DRAFT readout.
- FWDKEL + SC2000.
- VAL Testbeam Box.
- Climate Chamber (Convection Cooling).
Remarks
- 2 non-working chips.
- E5, digitally active, but always sends "No Hit Data".
- M8, broken chip (mechanically).
- Some channels are connected at bonding level.
Measures
- 7 temperature points: (-30, -20, -10, 0, 10, 20, 30ºC) in the chamber,
(-6, 4, 14, 24, 34, 44, 54ºC) on the hybrid.
- At each point: Strobe Delay Scan and Response Curve from 5 points (0.5,
1, 2, 3, 4fC).
For each channel at each temperature:
- Linear fit to the response curve.
- Obtaining noise and gain per channel and per temperature.
For each channel:
- Plot Noise vs Temperature.
- Plot Gain vs Temperature.
- From Linear fit:
- Delta_Noise per degree.
- Noise @ 0ºC.
- Delta_Gain per degree.
- Gain @ 0ºC.
Results:
Conclusions:
- Variation of Noise with the temperature: 7 electrons per degree.
- Variation of Gain with the temperature: 0.029 mV/fC per degree.
