GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
We are pleased to announce the Chiral10 Workshop to be held in Valencia from the
21st to the 24th of June, 2010.
Chiral10 is the sixth of a series of workshops on chiral dynamics in hadron and
nuclear physics:
Chiral00: Possible Existence of the Sigma Meson and its Implications
to Hadron Physics, YITP (Kyoto University).
Chiral01: Chiral Fluctuations on Hadronic Matter, Orsay.
Chiral02: Chiral Restoration in Nuclear Medium, YITP (Kyoto University).
Chiral05: Chiral Restoration in Nuclear Medium, RIKEN.
Chiral07: Chiral Symmetry in Hadron and Nuclear Physics, Osaka.
The last years have seen a remarkable progress in hadron and nuclear physics
towards a unified framework based on the fundamental theory of the strong
interaction, Quantum Chromodynamics and Effective Field Theories based upon QCD
symmetries. The workshop will address some of those recent developments. The
topics planned to be discussed will cover:
Hadron structure and interactions
Exotic hadrons
Chiral and heavy quark spin symmetry
Mesic atoms and nuclei
Chiral dynamics of few body hadron systems
Chiral Symmetry in a nuclear medium
Hadrons in a nuclear medium
Heavy flavor hadrons and nuclei
The intention is to provide an overview of the present status in these
fields as well as of new developments, and a preview of forthcoming
investigations.
FORMAT AND SCHEDULE:
The sessions will be held from Monday, June 21, to Thursday, June 24, 2010
and will consist of invited plenary sessions and contributed papers. We will
also have a poster session.
All participants (including invited speakers) are expected to send
abstracts of their contributions before March 30, 2010 and register
before April 30th.
PROCEEDINGS:
Contributions from the speakers and authors of posters will be
published in the proceedings of the workshop.
KEY DATES:
30 March, 2010 - Deadline for abstracts
30 April, 2010 - Deadline for registration
15 May, 2010 - Deadline for reduced conference fee payment
REGISTRATION AND CONFERENCE FEE:
A conference fee of 150/200 EUR (if paid before/after May 15, 2010) will be
charged to all participants. The conference fee will cover coffee breaks, banquet
and a copy of the proceedings. Banquet and excursion tickets for accompanying
persons will be available at the conference site at an extra charge.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Limited financial assistance to young researchers and scientists from developing
countries is available. Please indicate your request on the registration form.
LOCATION:
The workshop will be held at the Instituto de Fisica Corpuscular in Valencia.

FORMAT AND SCHEDULE:
The structure of the conference has already been settled.
The sessions will be held from Monday, June 21, to Thursday, June 24, 2010
and will consist of invited plenary sessions and contributed papers.
The workshop will be divided into thematic sessions, with subjects that
are directly related to the following topics:
* Mesic atoms and nuclei - Hadrons in a nuclear medium
* Experimental developments
* Chiral and heavy quark spin symmetry - Heavy flavor hadrons and nuclei
* Hadron structure and interactions - Exotic hadrons
* Chiral Symmetry in a nuclear medium - Chiral dynamics of few
body hadron systems
We have already some invited speakers, but there is still room for at
least 30 oral presentations; thus, we encourage the participants to submit
their contributions at their soonest convenience.
All participants (INCLUDING INVITED SPEAKERS) are expected to send
abstracts of their contributions before March 31, 2010 and register
before April 30th.
PROCEEDINGS:
Oral contributions will be published in the proceedings of the workshop.

REGISTRATION AND CONFERENCE FEE:
All those planning to attend Chiral 2010 are kindly requested to complete
the registration form available via the web page.
This procedure includes the invited speakers.
This form is automatically submitted to the organizers and will help us
to keep control of the attendance.
A conference fee of 150/200 EUR (if paid before/after May 15, 2010) will be
charged to all participants. At the workshop desk, only cash (euros) will be
accepted.
The conference fee will cover coffee breaks, lunches, banquet and a copy of
the proceedings. Banquet and social events for accompanying persons will be
available at the conference site at an extra charge.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Limited financial assistance specially for young researchers is available.
Please indicate your request on the registration form.
ACCOMMODATION:
Participants are expected to arrange their own accommodation. Some suggestions
can be found at the web-page.
Valencia is a touristic city with a large lodging offer and if you book soon
there should be no problem to find a convenient place at a good price. Notice
however, that Valencia hosts many important events (Sports, trade, tourism) and
early booking is certainly advisable!
