XXXII International Meeting On Fundamental Physics

Dear participant of the IMFP04,

   The XXXII International Meeting on Fundamental Physics will 

take place next week in Hotel Sol Meliá in Alicante. Here is some 

information for your convenience.

- Reaching Hotel Sol Meliá.

 The taxi ride from the airport to Hotel Sol Meliá takes 15-20 minutes 

outside rush hours (8:30-9:30; 13:30-14:30 and 19:30-20:30). The taxi 

fare should be 15-20 euros.

 From the railway station to Hotel Sol Meliá there is a 25 minute walk.

 The lectures will take place in Sala Almirante of Hotel Sol Meliá. 

- Registration, checking-in and help:

 There will be a Secretariat desk at which Ms. Mercedes Fatás will

help you at your arrival. You will have to check-in formally at the 

hotel reception as well. 

 The Secretariat will open on Sunday, Feb. 29 from 18:00 to 21:30. On 

working days, it will be open from 08:30 to 13:00 and from 15:15 to 

19:15. On Wednesday March 3 and due to the excursion it will open 

from 08:30 to 12:30 only.

- Web access:

  In the hall of Hotel Melia there is a wi-fi hot spot freely available

for the hosts. This will be the only way to reach the web, so if you need 

to read your e-mail during the conference, please bring your 802.11b 

compatible hardware (PMCIAs, USBs, etc) 

- Social Programme:

  On Monday March 1st a dinner buffet will be offered by the 

Town Hall of Alicante at the Castillo de Santa Barbara, a 16th 

century castle and fortress perched on the hillside that overlooks

Alicante. The reception will start at 20:30, departure from the

hotel will take place at 20:00

  On Wednesday March 3, there will be an excursion to Tabarca. 

Tabarca is a small island (30 hectares, a length of 1800 m and 

a width of 450 m at its maximum) whose waters have been declared 

Natural Marine Reserve. We will have a lunch there consisting 

of a typical rice-based dish of the region. 

   Time schedule: 

12:30 The participants meet at the hotel entrance 

13:00 The boat leaves for Tabarca

14:00 Arrival at Tabarca

14:15 Lunch

17:30 Return from Tabarca

18:30 Arrival at Alicante

  On Thursday March 4, the Gala Dinner will start at 21:45 in 

Salón Postiguet of Hotel Sol Meliá.
