Resumen
In this talk I'll describe how string theory is exciting because it can address most or
all of the questions we hope to understand about the quarks and leptons and the forces
that form our world. I'll indicate how string theory is very testable and already or soon
being tested and providing explanations in several ways, including dark matter, LHC
physics, baryogenesis, fine tuning questions, neutrino physics and more, from the
increasingly active subfield "string phenomenology".
